The ESSENTFLOW™ Glossary
A place where our language can be heard
All terms proprietary to ESSENTFLOW™ by Shae / LMT Mindfulness Coaching LLC. This page has two parts: the framework itself — the phases, states, and methods that structure the work — and the glossary of terms, an A–Z reference for the language ESSENTFLOW™ uses to name what's actually happening.
The Framework
The Three Phases
ESSENCE
The first phase — the movement of Recognition. You start seeing the language you've been living in and naming what's actually yours versus what was installed.
FOUNDATION
The second phase — the movement of Excavation and Reclamation. You dig underneath the installed self to find the native self, and reclaim the language that's actually yours.
FLOW
The third phase — the movement of Operation. You're living, working, and creating from your own language instead of a performed one. (Also the fourth capacity state, below.)
The Four Capacity States
Detached
You don't recognize your own language. The installed self runs the show and feels like "just who you are." Marked by emotional numbness, constant performance, and difficulty identifying your own desires.
Fragmented
You switch between competing languages — native and installed — depending on who's watching, with no stable home base. Often described as "I don't know who I am anymore."
Stabilizing
You're learning your own language. Recognition has happened; fluency hasn't yet. Decisions start coming from awareness rather than conditioning.
Flow
You're living from your own language. Native self is the operating system, not the exception — marked by internal congruence, reduced performance, and sustainable achievement.
Methods & Frameworks
THE SORT Method™
The core intervention tool for identity reclamation, in four steps: See — notice the pattern or installed language in real time. Observe — study it without judgment. Reclaim — name and take back the native-self truth underneath it. Trust — act from that truth even before it feels fully proven.
RERO™
The three-movement architecture underneath the three phases: ESSENCE = Recognize. FOUNDATION = Excavate + Reclaim. FLOW = Operate.
Core Tools
Capacity Mirror Assessment™
The diagnostic tool that reflects back where someone sits across the four capacity states and what installed language is currently running.
Core Principles
- Language is the infrastructure of identity. Everything visible — behavior, capacity, relationships, output — is downstream of the language running underneath it. ESSENTFLOW™ works at the level of language first.
- Recognition before reclamation. You cannot reclaim what you cannot see. The first work is always naming — identifying what was installed, what is native, and the difference between them. Clarity is not a luxury. It is the intervention.
- First Arrival, not return. For high-capacity Black women whose identity installation was early and complete, the destination is not a remembered self. It is a self being met for the first time. ESSENTFLOW™ was built for that journey.
- Native language over inherited fluency. Becoming exceptionally skilled at living through someone else's language is not the same as knowing your own. ESSENTFLOW™ measures progress by how fluently she can live from what is native — not how well she performs what was installed.
- Owned ground in every direction. Identity built on inherited language will require constant maintenance. Infrastructure built on borrowed platforms will require constant performance. ESSENTFLOW™ builds on owned ground — internally and externally.
- Rest is not recovery. It is discernment. Stillness is where native language surfaces. ESSENTFLOW™ does not treat rest as a reward for productivity. It treats rest as the condition under which real recognition becomes possible.
- The words were first. Behavior follows language. Identity follows language. Capacity follows language. Change the language and everything built on top of it shifts. This is the discipline. This is the work.
